Cathy attended (Southwest) Texas State University where she earned a degree in Athletic Training. Her thirty plus years of experience began at La Porte High School in 1984. Cathy moved to Clear Brook High School as an outreach Athletic Trainer with Houston Methodist St. John Sports Medicine Center in 1992. She has served as the Athletic Trainer for the Texas High School Girl's Coaches Association All Star games and with the Justin Sports Medicine Team at the Houston Rodeo. She has been a speaker at Sport Medicine Conferences on topics such as Life Balancing and Concussions. Cathy was appointed by Gov. Perry to the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers in 2013 and has served as President of the Texas State Athletic Trainers' Association and Greater Houston Athletic Trainers' Society (GHATS).
In 2014 she was inducted into GHATS Athletic Training Hall of Honor and given the Logan Wood Award for Meritorious Service. Supak has also been honored with the National Athletic Trainers' Association Service Award, Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award and Athletic Training Distinguished Alumni of the Year by Texas State University.
Cathy and husband, Ray, together have two children, Amanda and Cameron.
